Experience in a CNC manufacturing environment is required.

Advanced Operations is leading the creation of a global team dedicated to achieving excellence in Manufacturing Transfer (MT).  This role will support our Manufacturing Transfer team being a Key Enabler of transformation delivering on "cost out" opportunities to become a global competitive advantage.

Location:  Fort Lauderdale FL

What you will do

Be a Senior Project  Engineer in one of the most exciting and successful areas at Stryker Robotics. Be part of the development and introduction of new products and work extensively with Product Development, Quality and Manufacturing Operations to take a product from design concept through production ramp up. Specific responsibilities of the Senior Engineer include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Review Drawings for Design for Manufacturability for complex mechanical components and assemblies
  • Proficient in process development the machining and assembly of complex mechanical components
  • Utilize design transfer tools such as Process Flow chart, Process FMEA, Control Plan, Measurement System Analysis and Process Validation

What you need

A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline is required for this role.

Ideal candidates will also possess the following skills/experiences:

  • A minimum of 2 years of manufacturing engineering experience
  • Experience with CNC manufacturing processes, specifically for machining, surface treatment as well as inspection is required
  • Experience in supplier process development is highly preferred
  • Must be able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and have working knowledge of geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Experience in executing complex problem-solving techniques related to technical manufacturing and design issues
  • Good understanding of Design for Manufacturing
  • Proven ability to effectively work in a fast paced, dynamic and results oriented team environment
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills - able to express ideas and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
