Job Description

This position is where our Instruments group which is the leader in creating products that make surgery more efficient, reducing trauma and improving techniques meet the mergers and acquisitions initiatives of Stryker that have been an accelerator of long-term performance. We are looking for an Senior Electrical Design Engineer that will work on newly acquired products to Stryker’s portfolio and design, develop, modify and evaluate electrical components, assemblies, or subsystems for electrical and/or electromechanical devices under specific time, regulatory and cost constraints.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Define and ensure the use of specific design approaches and parameters to conduct feasibility studies on new designs.
  • Analyze equipment to establish operating data, ensure experimental tests are conducted and evaluate the results.
  • Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications, reliability and regulatory requirements.
  • Support development process by ensuring designs are cost efficient, have manufacturability and are reliable.
  • Collaborate in evaluation of vendor capability to support development.

What you Need

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical design, PCB assembling and related activities
  • Demonstrated electrical problem-solving skills.
  • ECAD or OrCAD experience would be preferred
  • Embedded systems design experience would be ideal
