Job Description

Key champion for National Robotics Clinical Services organization.  Drives clinical case coverage direction for the US Domestic Market for Mako Service.  Leads the planning and oversight of the MPS organization to develop and deliver an outstanding clinical result for the user-surgeon and ensuring continuous account growth.  Drives utilization of the clinical base by working with all levels, key hospital staff, thought leaders and referring doctors in district to develop a referral base and increase procedural/implant volume.  Provides training, ongoing in-services, and customer experience to improve performance, quality and customer satisfaction.  Drives national talent strategy, talent selection, and engagement activities. 

  • Provides leadership to team (MPS, Sr. MPS, CLPS, Sr. Managers) to effectively manage activities to insure optimal clinical results, sales growth, business plans, and maintains superior customer satisfaction.
  • P&L responsibility with Headcount targets of over 400.
  • Meet with and build long-term, stable relationships with key surgeons, clinicians, and evaluators throughout the country to drive product innovation, clinical studies completion and medical education.
  • Manage a multi-site field team involved in end-to-end fulfillment of customer needs and expectations.
  • In-depth knowledge of key account profiles, targets, influence patterns and barriers to growth
  • Maintain and drive accurate procedure forecasting.
  • Partner with Area Sales Directors, Account Executives in selling the clinical benefits of the company’s products to drive adoption of the company’s robotic arm platform
  • Partners with the Mako Market Development team and Joint Replacement sales force to ensure optimal account launches
  • Exercise sound judgment and oversight to ensure integrity and compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines. Promote integrity within the group.
  • Recruit, engage and retain Talent; measurement of success includes utilization, continued certification & competency growth, succession planning and headcount vs. budget.
  • Direct and coach Direct Reports.
  • Build, develop, and coach team as well as communicate performance to expectations.
  • Work closely with Marketing and Operations leaders to plan and ensure on-time product launches.
  • Represent Stryker at Area symposia, community practice marketing events, and national industry meetings.
  • Analyze operations to evaluate performance of division to determine areas of cost reduction and program improvement.
  • Direct activities of organization to plan procedures, establish responsibilities, and coordinate functions among departments and sites.
