As a member of the Stryker South Pacific (SSP) Leadership Team, the main objective of this role is to manage the national operations functions including, supply chain, purchasing, logistics, quality assurance, technical operations, communications instillation, facilities & WHS and master data for the Australian and New Zealand operations of SSP. The purpose of this role is to foster and drive an overall quality culture across all components of the SSP business.

This role ensures the teams within these functions provide the competitive advantage for SSP.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Supporting the development of strategic and business planning processes
  • Managing operations auditing to ensure full regulatory compliance
  • Maintaining the Quality Management System and ISO quality accreditation
  • Driving systematic business improvements across the business
  • Develop teams that implement and document systems, processes and procedures that enable them to attain high levels of performance and quality, building competitive advantage. Develop leadership capabilities within Operations, building strong bench for future management roles.
  • Develop the processes to ensure that economies of scale are achieved
  • Ensure consistently high service standards are delivered to both internal and external customers across SSP.
  • Monitor and advise on risk management issues for areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure all products meet corporate standards, and relevant national and international legislative requirements.
  • Develop quality, regulatory and business improvement capabilities
  • Manage budget and P&L
  • Previous experience as a business manager in a technology related industry with a demonstrated track record of success in business development, business improvement and quality processes.
  • A demonstrated track record of driving change, leading business initiatives and supporting business growth
  • Experience as a senior manager with extensive experience leading a large diverse team and operating effectively as part of a leadership team with accountability for overall business results.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a business or related discipline is essential
  • ISO management certification
