What you will do-

The Demand Planner will be responsible for developing and maintaining high quality consensus forecasts for the organization by leveraging statistical analysis with the best available cross-functional inputs, and applying sound judgment based on knowledge of the business. They will also partner with Finance, Sales, and Marketing leaders and product launch teams to reconcile business objectives and strategies to support financial models. They will act as a liaison to cross-functional senior management to provide key insights about our customers, sales, and market trends.

This position will be responsible for providing the organization with high-quality data and analysis which will primarily be accessed through dashboards. This position will support the ProCare Business Unit and collaborate with business stakeholders and apply sound judgment based on knowledge of the business to develop relevant analytics. In addition to responding to requests from the business, this position will support the also be responsible for identification of new opportunities and technologies to help drive a data-driven culture.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain high quality financial projections and analysis. Must assemble and analyze all data pertinent to creating/maintaining the forecast, including historical order bookings/shipments, item master data, market and macro-economic trends, seasonality, promotions, and product life-cycle management 
  • Serve as the primary contact for ProCare sales and marketing analytics
  • Analyze purchasing trends for service contracts and customer behaviors and identify market trends that have and will impact the service portfolio
  • Successfully partner with cross-functional teams in the monthly demand planning working sessions and Executive Demand Reviews
  • Represent the demand planning process within Stryker’s Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, demonstrating thought leadership, creativity in solving problems and the ability to appropriately communicate and escalate issues as needed
  • Support execution of the product life-cycle management process for all new product launches and product exits as it relates to the demand planning function. 
  • Analyze service contract coverage rate trends and work with IS to develop new data sets
  • Design and implement automated reporting dashboards to track key business metrics for the Business Unit
  • Design and implement automated reporting dashboards to support self-service analytics for the Business Unit
  • Improve the demand forecast quality by effectively analyzing sources of forecast metrics and recommending appropriate action plans 
  • Achieve or exceed the identified goals and KPI targets, supporting corporate/department goals and KPI targets as directed
  • Support training and education sessions as needed both within the demand planning team and across the organization as warranted
  • Act as a role model to the department and organization for your work ethic, integrity, and team approach.
  • Support projects with cross-functional teams to determine analytic / statistical needs, define key metrics, measure business performance, and implement data related initiatives/tasks
  • Identify actionable insights and suggest recommendations to influence the direction of the business and cross-functional teams

What you need-

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.  (MBA or related Master's degree preferred)
  • 2+ years' experience in following disciplines: Supply Chain Planning, Demand Management/Forecasting, Sales Operations/Planning, Finance/Accounting, or Marketing
  • Must have knowledge of demand management/forecasting tools, forecasting processes in sales, marketing operations, finance, manufacturing and supply chain issues
  • Background in sales analytics, new product introductions and supply chain metrics
  • Knowledge of ERP(Oracle) transactional data
  • Must have understanding of end to end supply chain interactions and interdependencies

Preferences:

  • Business experience in the medical device or related industry  
  • Prior experience with demand planning tools like Oracle Demantra, Demand Solutions or i2
  • Statistical background/experience
  • Cross-functional experience in related fields
  • APICS/IBF or other professional certification in Supply Chain concepts

Necessary Skills:

  • Excellent, demonstrated analytical and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of demand planning applications and how to apply them to a business
  • Ability for decision making, to work under pressure, and capacity to make good judgment in critical situations
  • Focus on accuracy of work and prioritization in a fast-paced environment.
