What You Will Do

Supports the effective implementation of Corporate Policy #8 through support of the Global Compliance Education and Communication center of expertise (COE) and shared service.  Responsible for Compliance training activities and performs duties specific to the administration of the electronic learning management system for internal and external resources.  Employee is highly knowledgeable in discipline or scope of work responsibilities, acting as a functional, global resource.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the on-going evaluation of the Global Compliance training catalog in the learning management system. To include, but not be limited to: the identification and remediation of potential gaps in the training catalog, monitoring and assignment of courses, and periodic update of all materials to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Researches, analyzes, designs, and maintains information systems in support of the entire department.
  • Monitors information needs and designs new, or modifies existing, systems to meet changing requirements.
  • Possesses and practically applies broad and advanced knowledge/skills for learning management systems and training administration practices.
  • Supports compliance activities and is viewed as a subject matter expert within scope of responsibility.
  • Responsible for training-related reporting and data requests; including for internal and external audits.
  • Will support compliance metric tracking and data analysis as needed.
  • Responsible for the ongoing analysis and tracking of training and translation requests. Identifies process improvements and works with other departmental resources to update necessary process, procedures, and documentation.
  • Seeks to consistently meet customer needs without compromising Stryker Corporate Policies, procedures, industry guidance and country, state/provincial or local laws.
  • Ensures alignment with training and education resources in the department.
  • Will interact with external vendors to include, but not limited to, learning management systems and translation vendors.
  • Works with discretion and maintains confidentiality.
  • Will effectively prioritize and coordinate multiple projects/responsibilities.
  • Demonstrates ability to anticipate impact, solve problems of moderate complexity, and take initiative beyond direct responsibilities.

What You Need

Diploma required, undergraduate degree preferred

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5-7 years’ applicable experience (non-degreed) or 2-4 years (degreed) required
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrates high attention to detail
  • Must possess excellent time management skills
  • Must be PC-literate with high level knowledge of MS Office applications 
  • Expertise in learning systems administration strongly preferred  
  • Lesson and curriculum planning skills preferred
  • Basic understanding of budgets and expense management
  • Ability to influence or affect all activities within area of responsibility
  • Able to work effectively in multiple complex electronic systems
  • Able to work effectively as an individual or part of a larger team
  • Demonstrates sound independent judgement and self-direction
  • Demonstrates professional demeanor and is perceived as highly competent
  • Possesses basic understanding of business functions and activities

Physical & Mental Requirements:

  • Must be able to communicate with large groups of people 
  • Must be able to review printed materials
  • Must be able to communicate telephonically
  • Able to use common office equipment (personal computers, telephone, printer/copiers)

Work From Home: Occasional

Travel Percentage: 10%
