The Job's Mission 

Provide in depth analysis of data to help uncover problems and inefficiencies in the organization, oversee and improve the visualization of data to convey meaningful messages to operations and business leaders, and drive metric driven solutions to the expanding needs of EMEA Supply Chain Operations. The Business Analyst will support the Venlo CDC, EMEA Trade Compliance, EMEA Transportation and SCO RHQ and be the key liaison between these groups and the technical team.

Key Activities & Accountabilities  

The Business Analyst is responsible for:

Secure day to day

  • Responsible for maintaining our business analytics tools (Power BI and other)
  • Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly business reporting on quality, service and performance
  • Maintain and further develop Management Cockpit, internal for SCO EMEA and for our Stryker’s divisional partners
  • Engage in the investigation, analysis and implementation of lean methodologies within departments and functions
  • Ensuring compliance with local and international regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures
  • Secure required reporting deadlines at all times

Strengthening the base (Lead – Engage – Lean)

  • Leading KPI’s to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement
  • Coaching our SME’s (Subject Matter Experts) and partner with them in creating meaningful management data
  • Proactively support & drive Continues Improvement & Operational Excellence across functions and departments in line with ISO13485 and Lean principles
  • Support process improvement and cost reduction activities within departments and functions, focusing on increasing the ratio of value-add to non-value add activities, promoting flow and eliminating waste
  • Participate in implementing new technologies to develop new services, improve existing ones and drive overall customer satisfaction
  • Recommend business process and system changes to improve efficiency and business outcomes
  • Ensure clear communication between business stakeholders and IT technical teams.

New Business Needs/ Opportunities

  • Provide financial assistance to projects / initiatives where needed
  • Key partner with Senior Finance Manager in further developing a global SCO management cockpit
  • Simplify facts and figures integration into our management cockpit for mergers and acquisitions

Develop for the future

  • Responsible for BI integration in our new ERP; SAP
  • Drive improvements in reporting metrics and develop confidence in data attainment and utilization


  • Bachelor/Master degree
  • Fluent spoken and written Dutch and English
  • Minimum 2/4 years’ experience in a BI position in a dynamic environment
  • Understanding of Supply Chain/Lean Principles
  • Passionate about database setup and data management
  • Strong knowledge of scripting in SQL, T-SQL and DAX
  • Experience with International Standards (e.g. SoX/ISO/FDA)
  • High ethical standards
