Job Description

The position includes full responsibility and accountability for the sales and relationship management within the Joint Replacement business for the region Brabant in The Netherlands. A minimum of 5 years of proven successful sales experience preferably within the Healthcare market, experienced relationship builder and strong business acumen. Results driven. Dutch speaking and driving license a must. Connects with and supports orthopedic surgeons, business managers, purchasers. Delivers hands-on support at the OR when requested.

Promotes and sells a portfolio of technical and/or nontechnical products and/or services and solutions directly to current and new end customers. Informs customers of new product/service introductions and prices. Creates, monitors and revises lead generation plans to ensure a substantive sales opportunity pipeline

This position typically requires extensive experience in a specialized field and an advanced college degree or equivalent.

As a key expert, the job requires in-depth knowledge and understanding within one discipline. They are regarded within the organization as a technical 'expert' in their particular field.

The job requires good analytical skills as well as evaluative judgement based on the analysis of factual and qualitative information in complicated or novel situations. 

The complexity implied at this level of problem solving relates to the ability to filter, prioritize, analyze and validate potentially complex and dynamic material. This job typically requires a degree or equivalent and a minimum of 5 or more years experience.

•  Business Planning: Independently constructs 3 year rolling business plan with SWOT analysis, SMART objectives and deep understanding of territory.  Understands the long-term pipeline within territory based upon replacement cycles and contract renewals and utilizes this information as part of business planning.

•  Sales Skills: Gains complete understanding of customer requirements and emotional drivers and positions accordingly. Recognizes buying signals and reacts appropriately. Always closes. Can act as an adviser to all levels of customer. True "Adviser level" selling.  Customers emotionally connected to products and salesperson, respect advice given and repeatedly return to buy, often instigating the process.

•  Commercial Awareness: Frequently leverages Stryker cross franchise portfolio to add value to propositions.  Adviser within team on proposal writing. Adviser / mentor within  region and franchise on both cross divisional offers and qualification of opportunities. Demonstrates a 'Stryker first' mentality when addressing cross divisional opportunities.

•  Developing Others: Shows potential and aptitude to coach all team members, raises the bar for the team.

•  Discretion/Latitude/Impact: Work is performed without appreciable direction. Takes on sales leadership role on one or more projects of significance. Exercises considerable latitude and leads/facilitates collaboration with CFT/SME in determining deliverables. Completed work is reviewed from a relatively long-term perspective, for desired results. Reports observations / problems clearly and concisely and takes appropriate actions. Demonstrates developing sales leadership skills intra-departmentally. Failure to obtain results or erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in failure to achieve sales &/or major organizational objectives and adversely affect revenue &/or budget.
