What You Will Do 

As the Software Manager, you will provide leadership, technical guidance and mentorship to a team of software and control system engineers.  You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the people, resources and processes required to deliver new software solutions and control algorithm implementations and maintain existing products and applications. The successful candidate will lead a team of approximately ten software and robotics control systems engineers and is responsible for the performance management, talent development, and work processes of the group.

What You Need

As a Software Manager, you must be an engaging, strategic, and proactive leader with the ability to lead and guide teams in a positive and collaborative manner. You should combine solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with superb conflict and influence-management abilities. It is also vital that you display excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to clearly convey complex ideas and influence clients, team members, management, and external groups at all levels of expertise.

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science, or a similar technical field of study required; Masters or Ph.D. degree in Engineering Management and/or Software Engineering , preferred.
  • 8+ years of software development experience and knowledge of professional software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle required.
  • 3+ years of experience managing software engineering team

Travel Percentage: 20%
