Become an expert in Stryker’s Mako robotic system and provide product expertise, training, and clinical support to internal and external customers

Here is a rare and exciting opportunity to join our Joint Replacement & Robotics team as a Robotics Sales Specialist in NSW/ACT.  

The role:

  • Develop the widespread use of Stryker’s robotic arm assisted technology for Total Hip, Partial Knee and Total Knee Arthroplasty in Australia
  • Gain access to key orthopaedic surgeons to sell and demonstrate the benefits of the Mako robotic system
  • Generate sales leads and increase surgeon interest for the Mako robotic system and software
  • Utilise interest in Mako to convert competitor hip and knee surgeons
  • Maximise the utilisation of the Mako System at existing and new robotic sites in order to accelerate implant sales
  • Utilize Mako to retain current Stryker hip and knee customers

This role is an in-the-field role that may require within state travel during the sales process to cover cases, and also travel to other states upon request to attend Stryker meetings and assist in training of other team members. There will be an on-call component to the role.

Key areas of responsibilities:

  • Sales
    • Ability to grow and convert targets and provide leads for capital sales
  • Product Expertise
    • Key resource and point of contact for presentations, education questions and troubleshooting for both internal and external customers
  • Teamwork and Collaboration
    • We are built on teamwork! This is critical. Need to ensure consistently high service standards are delivered to both internal and external customers
    • Partner with Territory Managers, Regional Managers, and Mako Territory Managers to maximise Mako robot and implant sales
  • Clinical / Technical Support and Education
    • On-going support of Territory Managers by providing case coverage where necessary for surgical procedures using Stryker products

The successful candidate will have:

  • Extensive experience within orthopaedics or robotics field
  • Exposure to medical environments, particularly hospital theatres
  • Proven high technical proficiency including product knowledge, knowledge of the medical and hospital industries to provide technical expertise and training to staff and clients
  • The ability to work in a team and in a collaborative environment
  • Presentation and communication skills to effectively build relationships with surgeons and other key clients, stakeholders, senior members of the community and government and internal colleagues
  • An understanding of the requirements of equipment within an orthopaedic environment
  • Industry knowledge including competitors, clients and potential clients and trends
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales and new initiatives
