Job Description

"The Job's Mission   The RMA Specialist will be located in our Returns department which is part of the wider warehouse team to assist in supporting and help maintain the Company’s distribution activities, whilst meeting customer service and quality. The primary function of the RMA specialist is to process the return of materials from various sources within the United Kingdom.  These materials can be returns from hospital consignment, tech repairs, exchanges from hospital owned stock, expired swap out returns, or from returns from hospital owned stock.  The operative is expected to manage their daily workload and taskes, prioritize according to needs as indicated by their manager. The job will be a permanent day shift although depending on volumes there may sometimes be the requirement to stay and get the job done so the candidate will have to have a sense of responsibility and commitment to going the extra mile. There will be no direct reports but a responsibility to get the job done will be crucial.     Key Activities & Accountabilities

  • Take responsibility and support the Team Leader in achieving departmental and divisional KPIs and objectives

  • Manage effective communications with the salesforce and internal customers to deliver operational targets, issues, briefings are effectively delivered

  • Sort and prioritise parcels that come via Goods In to the relavent team member

  • Identify items returned and process accordingly, i.e tech repairs to be booked in, owned stock to be listed, consigned stock to be returned from the account and PER’s/Recall to be returned to Manufacturer

  • Process all items within company guidelines following processes set out for that area of the business

  • For any items that need to be scrapped, do so in the correct manner and physically move the item to the designated area

  • When processing all stock look to maximise the amount of stock that can be re-utilised

  • For stock shipping from the building prepare paperwork, including any trade compliance paperwork to fulfil requirements

  • Respond to requests for information from RAQA, customer service, the asset team, tech services and the departmental managers

  • Ensure all stock is processed and putaway in good time and with 100% accuracy

  • Ensure all quality and safety standards are adhered to and championed as necessary

  • To operate in a safe working manner and be responsible for H+S within designated areas, and ensure all prescribed PPE is used correctly by each team member

  • Liaison with couriers, other departments and internal customers

  • Be an expert in the departmental processes

  • Take responsibility for identifying areas of improving and assisting in the implementation of actions relating to these.

  • Suggest and support projects within the team and cross-functional, to further improve the department, resulting in increasing customer satisfaction, increasing efficiency, lower costs and optimized inventory levels

  • Take responsibility for both your own engagement and also assist in driving engagement in the department. This will include taking an active part in Q12 meetings and the Q12 impact plan.

  • Build and maintain relationships with other Functions while driving leverage opportunities across the areas.

,EducationGCSE or higher ExperienceIdeally experience of working in a team, warehouse environment in a similar environment  Ability to communicate in a highly effective manner and work both independently and as part of a team on assignments. Must be IT literate and efficient in an administrative environment. They must have the ability to work on their own initiative, prioritizing and organising workload.
