"Oversees and coordinates the activities of a team(s) to meet production goals, quality and cost objectives while setting and/or prioritizing team production schedules based on repair receipts, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.  

  • Works with unit supervisor to recruit/hire/retain talented associates
  • Designates/schedules cross training to be accomplished within the team
  • Involved in performance management of all direct reports.
  • Personal development for direct reports
  • Maintains associate records (time sheets, sick days, vacation, etc.) for direct reports
  • Responsible shop floor management and driving team engagement
  • Will direct the production of assigned teams by managing people, equipment and workload/capacity to meet the customer repair requirements/goals
  • Will ensure daily loaner demand is fulfilled
  • Will ensure compliance with all aspects of our Quality System
  • Will maintain team shop floor management system, and the 5S program
  • Will minimize scrap, rework and production defects for the team
  • Will work with engineer on new process/product introductions as well as daily issues as they arise
  • Support FAP integration and maintenance
  • Create and manage throughput metrics.
  • Will work with sales reps to promote Stryker ProCare programs
  • Will provide and/or supervise project management.
  • Will liaison with other Stryker divisions and external vendors.
  • Will own or partner to ensure ontime closure of on comformities and CAPAs.,

  • High School Diploma.
  • Technical school, apprenticeship, or equivalent demonstrated experience.

  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
  • Basic writing skills.
  • Blueprint/schematic reading.
  • Ability to operate small hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.
  • Basic math and measuring skills.
  • Effective analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Basic PC skills.
  • Effective organizational skills.
  • Understanding of various complex electronic assemblies.
  • Previous experience in-group problem solving.
  • Production team leadership.
  • Experience in trouble shooting/analyzing product defects.
  • Demonstrated track record of effective training of others.
  • Must be able to generate and explain proposals, guidelines, priorities and procedures.
  • Must have the ability to plan/compile a repair schedule
  • Must be able to analyze and resolve routine issues using independent judgment.
  • Must be able to routinely make decisions that affect the assigned production team(s).
  • Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • The ability to work with and assemble small objects and components.
  • Good visual acuity.
