Job Description

Main objective / purpose of the role:

Plans, directs and manages the marketing activities, both strategic and tactical for Joint Replacement products in Latin America.
Assures that assigned products are marketed over the entire Region within budgeted objectives, focusing on maximizing profitability and increasing orders volume working closely with corresponding Sales Rep and Sales Managers through the countries.

Critical success factors / key deliverables:

1. Marketing
  • Responsible for the development of strategic planning to include: evaluation of market trends and potential; new business opportunities orders, margin, and unit forecasting; competitive assessment; and gap analysis.
  • Provides direction and leadership in product promotion, distribution and pricing guidelines, assure implementation in a timely manner across the region.
  • Leads new product launch, press releases, advertisements, or participation in industrial, scientific and other types of exhibitions.
  • Collects, analyzes and maintains competitive information including product literature and pricing and communicates information as appropriate within the organization.
  • Be first point of contact with appropriate Manufacturing plants for information about the product and for inform local needs from Latin America market.
  • Prepares sales training and selling aids, literature and brochures and catalogue displays along with advertising or similar materials.

2. Sales force support
  • Participates in customer visits providing Sales support with key accounts: answer technical questions, develop projects according to customer requirements.
  • Provides sales force with competitive and technical data on a timely basis.
  • Develops key relationships with industry/market thought leaders, organizations, and institutions in order to obtain market needs, opportunities and requirements.

3. Compliance
  • Must conduct all business and affairs in compliance with all laws and regulations, including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), Stryker Code of Conduct,and in accordance with the highest ethical standards.

Job Requirements

Academic qualifications / degree & relevant prior experience:
  • Electronic Engineering/Bioengineering or Business Degree with knowledge and experience in medical devices or health service system.
  • Experience (5-6 years) in Sales or Marketing with high exposure to Customers with demonstrate results achieving objectives.
  • Marketing knowledge
  • Fluency in English
