Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Represent Physio-Control to all levels of public through front desk receptionist and switchboard responsibility.

MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answer and route incoming calls on switchboard system.
  • Greet and assist visitors and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Process and route emergency traffic according to established procedures.  Monitor fire alarm systems.
  • Support and assist in special projects for Facilities and other departments, such as data entry and coordination of the CMMS work order system and coordinate the employee transportation program.
  • Assist walk-in applicants as necessary.
  • Maintain knowledge of new and changing company policies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Prior switchboard experience 

DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in operating personal computer software including switchboard software, MS Office suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a helpful attitude
  • Must present professional image
  • Must have good memorization skills

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Office environment with visibility to the public
  • Sit for extended periods of time
  • Occasional lifting – up to 30 pounds
