Your key responsibilities

  • As a member in our international R&D team for craniomaxillofacial (CMF) products you are managing a team of multiple high performing Project Engineers and Project Managers.

  • Your team is responsible for pursuing new product development, including development and launch of orthopaedic implants, instrumentation, and new surgical procedures for Chest Wall applications which is a new market for Stryker and the CMF business.

  • In partnership with Marketing, Sales and customers (surgeons), you create new products in concert with customer needs and a business model.

  • You evaluate the potential and practicality of products in development and rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish priorities and commitments. 

  • Throughout product development process, you ensure a consistently high level of quality and compliance to applicable regulatory requirements.

  • You are responsible to identify future opportunities and to develop a long-term roadmap for Chest Wall applications together with marketing and other Stryker divisions.

  • You observe the competitive landscape and manage the relationship with external partners.

  • At Stryker, you have various opportunities to develop in different directions depending on your area of interest.

What are we looking for?

  • You have an advanced degree in engineering or in another technical field of studies.

  • You have long-term professional experience working in R&D in an international and complex environment, preferably Medtech, Automotive or similar.

  • You have previous demonstrated leadership experience.

  • You are characterized by a high level of communication skills, strategic thinking, analytical skills as well as extensive interface competencies and a positive and innovative mindset which allows you to drive your business successfully.

  • As an experienced and proactive leader, you set clear directions and prioritize the development and performance of your team.

  • You have the willingness for regular travel (up to 30%).

  • English and German speaking language skills on a fluent level are mandatory.
