Job Description

As a member of the Finance One team, the Record to Report Process Improvement Lead will act a subject matter expert for the record to record process and work with a global cross functional team to:

  • Complete end to end process review across Stryker’s Local business markets and Shared Service Centers, identifying areas for standardization.
  • Identify and work with key stakeholders in accounting and reporting to understand issues and find ‘best practice’ outcomes
  • Partner with Accelerate to ensure SAP, Blackline JE, other adjacent solutions align with global processes
  • Work as the subject matter expert to create training material on ideal processes within the R2R cycle
  • Partner with stakeholders to develop and issue new Finance Policy for R2R process
  • Identify collections targets and other KPIs, establish a robust monitoring process, and proactively identify areas of continuous improvement
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert for Record to Report processes
  • Finalize pre-requisites for establishing new and global closing calendar for close process
  • Detail perimeter between local, shared services, and center of excellence organizations and push for more simplified and restrictive corporate policies to provide better conditions for SAP implementation
  • Develop improvement projects / ideas for processes linked to Record to Report

Education:

•         Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in accounting, business or finance required

•         CPA / MBA preferred

Qualifications & experience:

  • 5-7 years of relevant working experience in international company (preferably American or Multinational company)
  • Previous experience in Accounting and Reporting is preferred
  • Fluency in English required
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management
  • Competent in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skills (v-lookup, pivot table etc.) 
  • Ability to work independently, capable of handling multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong ability to coordinate action across dispersed workforce
  • Strong written and verbal skills enabling effective communication with all levels of management
  • Demonstration of effective leadership, interpersonal, and strategic planning skills necessary to interact and influence senior management in both Finance and the business
  • Ability to create a highly energized environment of exceptional performance, shared accountability, and personnel excellence, with a commitment to coaching and developing others into leadership roles
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • ERP technology experience an advantage, including ERP implementations

Physical & mental requirements:

Ability to travel domestically and internationally for business meetings, workshops and leadership meetings, as needed

Travel Percentage: Up to 25%
