What you will do

As a Quality Operations Supervisor you will be responsible for the activities of the Quality Control group. You will train and mentor other QC staff members and Production Assemblers, particularly regarding understanding specifications and inspection methods.

  • You will administer equipment calibration and maintenance system, environmental monitoring program.
  • You will perform receiving, first article, in process, final, sterile load and shipment inspections on products and equipment calibration in accordance with written procedures, specifications and statistical sampling plans utilizing inspection and test equipment (e.g., optical measurement system, micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, microscope, tensile tester).
  • You will collect and prepares quality and efficiency trending information using spreadsheet software and recommend areas of focus.
  • You will document and communicate nonconforming products and processes as appropriate and coordinates timely Material Review Board (MRB) disposition.
  • You will communicate nonconforming product information to suppliers and instigates corrective actions.
  • You will assist with the investigation of nonconformances.
  • You will assist in the creation and implementation of quality inspection procedures and supporting systems. Recommend changes to the system when appropriate. These procedures and policies will be efficient with an excellent return on resources invested.
  • You will perform electronic file checking associated with Document Change Notices.

What you need

  • 4 plus years supervisory experience managing direct reports required
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline
  • Familiarity with ISO:13485 and FDA 21 CFR preferred.
  • ASQ certification preferred.
