The Division

Stryker’s Neurovascular division is focused on advancing the practice of less invasive stroke therapies through its Complete Stroke Care solutions. The business is dedicated to providing innovative stroke products and services for ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke and is committed to providing clinical education and support to help physicians deliver better patient outcomes. Products include: stent retrievers, detachable coils, stents, balloons, guidewires and microcatheters.

What you will do

  • Manages, supervises and provides direction to quality personnel on professional, personnel issues, and provides development opportunities.
  • Participates on team projects and assignments, facilitating or leading teams as necessary.
  • Identifies the opportunities for continuous improvement of the Quality Systems impacting post market surveillance, design controls, CAPA, field actions, internal audits and initiates activities to support the improvement process.
  • Formulates quality policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance to complaint reporting, FDA requests for additional information, field action assessment and execution, electronic complaint management system implementation and validation, and other quality elements for the Neurovascular division.
  • Provide guidance and decisions on divisional activities to ensure continued compliance with Stryker Neurovascular procedures, and applicable regulatory and international standards as defined in the Stryker NV Quality Policy and Site Compliance Matrix
  • Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports Quality Policy, Quality System and the appropriate regulations for the area supported.  Ensure employees are trained to do their work and their training is documented.
  • Support development of team members in association with their career path and creating a viable succession plan.
  • Enable Global relationships and structure for team to interact with multiple stakeholders.
  • Create a structure for your team, identify appropriate talent, create succession plans, develop job descriptions, objectives, Key Performance Indicators and performance goals. Perform effective evaluations assessing team members performance.
  • Develop the team’s expertise and team dynamics through continuous coaching, promoting development programs and formal appraisals through the performance review process.
  • Maintain an environment that promotes engagement and collaboration.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Organize and manage the activities of the Quality Assurance department compromising of design quality and post market quality team members, identify and meet the needs for the Neurovascular division.

What you need

  • 5 years’ experience in medical device industry in the area of quality, minimum 10+ years’ experience in related field
  • Previous experience in managing employees
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience to operate at this level.

Education/Special Training Required

  • B.E / B. Tech in Mechanical / Bio-Medical or other engineering disciplines
  • Master’s degree preferred

Work From Home: Occasional

Travel Percentage: 20%
