Stryker presents a rare and exciting opportunity to join a highly motivated team in developing key technology to enable the evolution of new surgical techniques in Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) surgery. The successful candidate will be based at our Innovation Centre in Cork and lead a multi-disciplined team in establishing the needs of our customers while designing and bringing innovative solutions for ENT applications to market. The Innovation Centre, which features unique design and collaboration workspaces, state-of-the-art prototyping and test facilities, and a simulated operating room, is the first of its kind in Ireland. The centre focuses on the development of new technologies and products to improve patient safety and outcomes during surgery in addition to increasing operating room efficiency across multiple surgical specialties including neuro, spine, ENT and orthopaedic surgery.

Responsibilities will include:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and coordination of select high impact projects, programs and project teams associated with new products and technologies at Stryker Ireland.  The Project Manager will work closely with product development, operations and marketing to drive speed to market, product quality and ease of manufacture.  The Program Manager will mentor and support Project team members on bringing their projects to market.

All activities will be completed and documented in accordance with the Stryker new product development process utilising associated design controls

  • Assume overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of bringing new products to the market place. The Project Manager is responsible to the project stakeholders for delivering a project’s objectives within scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
  • Provide high quality leadership of Project resources. Generate an engaging and positive environment. The Project Manager will be measured against milestone delivery and People performance throughout the Project lifetime.
  • Lead team in complex or difficult situations, removing obstacles or escalating to leadership as required, assigning appropriate resources and interacting with other functions to assist with issue resolution and streamlining of work process.
  • Establishment of priorities, imparting a sense of urgency and importance to the team while following Project Management methodology in project and program execution.
  • Work closely with Divisional and GQO Reps to drive successful project implementation.


  • Compensation and title (grade) will be considered in the context of the level of experience of the candidate. Minimum Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline with 6 or more years’ experience in a technical and/or project management role. A qualification in project management is desirable.
  • Demonstrated Leadership, Project Management and Engineering experience in New Product Development in a regulated environment.
