Stryker’s Instrument division is seeking to hire a Project Engineer, Advanced Operations in Portage, Michigan to support neurosurgical products.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

As the Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the development of the manufacturing processes, the design for manufacturability and assembly design for new products.

  • You will work cross functionally supporting the development, testing and refinement for new products.

  • In this position, you will provide feedback design for manufacturability, process development and sourcing support.

  • This role provides periodic progress reviews to management team’s related to project status, any risk mitigation plans, task completions and projects wins.

  • You will be responsible for process and/or equipment implementation and validation.

  • This role will support operations teams with prototype assemblies, along with production builds throughout the project lifecycle through production.

  • As the Project Engineer you will be working with the original equipment manufacturers and contract manufacturers in order to developing the processes needed to manufacturer new products and subassemblies including meeting time, scope and budget.

  • This role will be supporting an interdisciplinary team developing capital equipment needs to manufacture and assemble new products.

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field - required

  • Bachelor’s degree in biomedical, electrical, computer programming, software - preferred

  • 0+ years’ experience - required

  • Co-Op in Medical Device Industry (Design, New Product Implementation or Manufacturing) - preferred

  • Electromechanical, electrical and/or software engineering experience - preferred

  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings & understand geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing - required

Work From Home: Occasional

Travel Percentage: 10%
