We are actively seeking a Program Manager, R&D, Software for our Shirley, MA office.

This position is primarily responsible for directing, coordinating and exercising functional

authority for the planning, organization, budget, integration and completion of new product

development programs.  The right candidate MUST have Managed Software experience and have dealt with software with the highest level of criticality. The right candidate for this role will be a proactive, driven and persistent performer who is able to bring complex projects together.

Essential duties & responsibilities:

  • Manages technical projects and programs.
  • Works closely with engineering, regulatory, manufacturing, quality, and service groups to ensure all parties are kept up to date on all program and project objectives.
  • Promotes best practices among teams and drives and develops training for process and tool improvements.
  • Works with engineering leads to develop and track release milestones and schedules.
  • Manages communication of progress/status within the core team and external to the team; escalates issues as necessary.
  • Leads and consults on program deliverables with stakeholders that include customers, external companies, and third party vendors to facilitate business relationships and program delivery.
  • Releases plans for all projects and dependencies within a program.
  • Negotiates with management team for program and project resources.
  • Manages program communication and status with senior management.

Qualifications & experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university
  • 5+ years related experience in Medical Device A MUST
  • 5+ years in demonstrated Management of Software Development projects
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of: Database Software; Development Software; Internet Software; Manufacturing Software; Spreadsheet Software (Excel); Contract Management Systems; Design Software; Project Management Software; Word Processing Software (Word); Presentation software (PowerPoint); and Publisher software.
  • Must have worked on Medical Device projects through FDA approval or to launch
  • Strong understanding of Medical Device process development
  • Agile experience
  • Experience with highest level of Software criticality, a strong plus
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Work From Home: Occasional

Travel Percentage: 10%
