Who we want:

We’re looking for an experienced quality professional with strong leadership, project management, and people skills to work in the exciting field of mergers and acquisitions. This position plays a key role in bringing new technologies into the Stryker portfolio, aligning quality systems, and welcoming new operations quality team members to Stryker.

What you will do:

As a Program Manager, Operations Quality M&A you will support Mergers and Acquisition activities in various deal phases pre and post deal close, including integration support providing guidance and solutions to teams.
Due Diligence Expectations

  • Work closely with Business Development (BD) and other stakeholders on the Due Diligence assessment plan.
  • Perform quality Due Diligence assessment of the potential transaction including identification of risks.
  • Issue Due Diligence report and associated documentation within targeted timelines.
  • Support the development of the resource plan using tools like the QA stream resource calculator to input data into the financial model.
  • Support development and approval of the integration strategy and action plans.

Integration Expectations:

  • Facilitate the completion of an in-depth QMS assessment at the newly acquired business/product.
  • Develop and implement the strategy for QMS elements like validation, CAPA, inspections, batch release, etc.

  • Lead/support the integration strategy for manufacturing transfers as applicable.
  • Finalize ASL analysis and strategy for onboarding suppliers.
  • Act as an integration change agent to roll out Operations Quality initiatives and champion the Stryker culture at the newly acquired business/product (e.g., KPIs, organization structure, etc.).
  • Support the hiring & onboarding of both Contractors and FTEs per integration/sustaining needs.
  • Support updates to the strategy and action plan documentation through the integration phase.
  • Utilize effective project management tools (e.g., MS Project, PTQ tracker) and adhere to defined timelines.
  • Ensure quality and change control agreements are established to clarify Stryker's expectations for the required suppliers at the newly acquired business/product.
  • Support any ongoing quality issues (NCs, CAPAs, SICRs) and achieve the agreed Key Performance Indicators.
  • Develop communication tools and periodically distribute to the cross functional stakeholders
  • Develop & execute transition plan to align with base business strategy, including achievement of the agreed stabilization criteria

Other Expectations:

  • Promote responsible cost management to support achievement of Op Income target; influence decisions which drive high quality at the right cost.
  • Identify opportunities for improvements to the M&A team processes and lead/support development of standardized tools and best practices to drive greater M&A success.
  • Provide support and/or mentorship for QA teams joining Stryker through acquisitions.
  • Develop relationships, foster communication and sharing of Stryker culture and expectations.

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering or Science discipline
  • 7+ years’ experience
  • 5+ years’ experience of in a project orientated role
  • 2+ years’ experience in people management function
  • Experience in driving change through influence.
  • Experience managing expectations of all stakeholders
  • Must have excellent communication skills across a diverse audience in a Global team.
  • Significant travel required 30-50%
