Job Description

The Program Manager will coordinate one of Stryker''s largest acquisitions for the EMEA Central Distribution Center (CDC), located in Venlo the Netherlands. The Program Manager will prepare the EMEA CDC readiness for the different waves of integrations in EMEA, as well as take care of proper change management.

This is a fixed term contract for 18 months.

In this role you will liaise with both EMEA CDC, Merger & Acquisition (M&A) team as well as the Integration Candidate, to support defining and executing the integration strategy. Both locations are currently supporting shipments around the globe and require compliant processes for these activities, including the adherence to trade laws and local regulatory requirements (e.g. local language labeling / local registration).

You will be responsible for coordinating all activities to enable a compliant integration and for ensuring enough distribution capacity, to support cross selling activities and ramp up sales throughout all the processes.

Key Activities & Responsibilities

  • Steer and direct the EMEA CDC “Large Integration” Program;
  • Steer and manage the approved EMEA CDC “Large Integration” program budget / investments;
  • Steer and direct the program team for EMEA CDC “Large Integration”;
  • Steer and direct the EMEA CDC “Large Integration” sub program / project manager and ensure the alignment with global “Large Integration” team;
  • Create clear and attainable project objectives; budget, time, and quality/scope;
  • Lead project (sub-)teams and manage the execution of projects throughout all phases of a project;
  • Drive projects to completion and ensure appropriate handover to (internal) customer(s) / process owners;
  • Improve, develop and design processes and procedures as required by the projects;
  • Follow up on project progress, manage the various project tasks;
  • Lead and support multiple projects simultaneously ensuring a high-quality outcome;
  • Periodic reporting on project progress;
  • Close out of projects and lead and document lessons learned;

Education

  • Bachelor’s -or master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Distribution & Logistics, Operations or equivalent;
  • Project Management Professional (PMI) or Lean Six Sigma Certification (Black Belt) is advantageous

Experience

Essential:

  • 10+ years’ experience working in supply chain and logistics;
  • 5+ years’ experience in Project Management managing sizable, multi-disciplinary projects;
  • Logistics expert with an in-depth understanding of warehouse processes (e.g. inbound, put away and picking strategies, cycle counting, returns processes);
  • Good understanding of Value-Added Services, like supplemental labeling, kit assembly, as well as experience/knowledge with cold chain, warehouse automation, warehouse setup & design;
  • Experience in larger, multi-disciplinary projects in an international setting
  • Working in a multicultural and multi-functional environment
  • IT Skills: (Oracle11i), MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint;
  • Fluent in English and preferably French and/or, German, Spanish or Italian

Desirable:

  • Working in medical device industry in Operations/PMO (Stryker experience is a plus)
  • Knowledge of regulation and ERP systems (Oracle)
  • Experience with International Standards in the Medical industry (e.g. ISO 13485)
