Job Description

Your key responsibilities

  • Creates and maintains appropriate program documentation (e.g. charter, roadmap, benefits map, etc) to meet business goals and program objectives
  • Coordinates with partners/end users to deliver value to business through opportunity identification, solution delivery, and ongoing support
  • Responsible for program budget estimation, monitoring, and attainment
  • Communicates and sets expectations across divisions, functions, 3rd party vendors, consulting partners, project teams, and stakeholders depending on program needs
  • Creates and maintains a program risk assessment to ensure program risks are identified and closed
  • Responsible for portfolio resource planning including workload allocation and capacity planning to help determine project sequence in the program
  • Will work with constituent Project Managers or Associates to monitor cost, schedule and technical performance of component projects and operations, while working to ensure the ultimate success of the organization’s business objectives
  • Responsible for managing from 3 to 5+ projects with global scope of Program
  • Computer literacy – Microsoft Project, Office.
  • Up to 40% travel required

  • Ensure a common understanding by setting expectations in accordance with the Project Plan, in order to align the stakeholders and team members expectations
  • Lead the identification, assessment, monitoring and closure of project risks throughout the program lifecycle
  • Manage changes to the program’s project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques in order to keep the project plan accurate, updated, and reflective of authorized changes to facilitate customer acceptance
  • Responsible to improve team performance by building team cohesiveness, leading, influencing, and motivating in order to facilitate cooperation, ensure project efficiency, and boost morale
  • Responsible for assembling a program’s development and sustainment project teams, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedules to ensure timely completion of project.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques in order to monitor the progress of the project, identify and quantify any variances, perform any required corrective actions, and communicate to all stakeholders
  • Define and reach agreement from Key Stakeholders and Sponsor on Project main milestones, project plan, resource allocation, budget, etc.
  • Ensure effective completion of projects, by mentoring and coaching project teams
  • Establish, manage and report on project budgets in association with key stakeholders. Analyzing project variance and recommending appropriate actions
  • Design and Lead a Communication platforms for each project or program that consists  but is not exclusive to Community of Practices, Newsletters, Info Sessions, General Overview Packets, etc
  • Design and Lead a Governance Structure for each project or program that consists but is not exclusive to Program/Project Sponsor, Key Stakeholders, Customers, etc.
  • Provide status updates for strategic initiatives from a quality continuous improvement management perspective, inclusive of key achievements, next significant milestones/gates, and barriers and slippages to key Stakeholders on a planned and ad hoc basis
  • Develop and co-ordinate clearly defined “get well” plans when and where required during the course of a project
  • Assume overall responsibility for deliverables and drive adherence to overall project deadlines and milestones
  • Influence across the organisation by building effective relationships with all relevant key Stakeholders
  • Facilitate the necessary training / awareness associated to the knowledge transfer efforts for project/program under scope
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as required or requested

What are we looking for?

  • France
    • Engineering diploma (diplôme d'ingénieur) or equivalent with 10+ years’ experience in a project orientated or management role
    • PhD desirable
  • Germany/ Switzerland / Ireland
    • Bachelor of Science, Engineering or related subject and  8+ years’ experience in a project orientated or management role
    • Masters of Science, Engineering or related subject with 6 years of experience in a project discipline or management role
    • PhD desirable

  • Minimum 10+ years’ experience in industry.
  • Continuous Improvement Background
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Able to capture audience’s attention and buy in via different forums (on site presentations, webex, video conferences, telephone calls, etc.)
  • Strong tendency to challenge status quo with the goal of promoting a continuous improvement culture
  • Ability to design effective visual presentations utilizing innovative marketing methods (e.g. Infographics, Videos, etc)
  • Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management

•Ability to help drive change through influence

•Ability to effectively manage expectations of all stakeholders

•Strong communication skills across a diverse audience and an ability to communicate in a Global team

  • Strong knowledge of Quality processes (e.g. CAPA, Audits)
  • Bachelor's / Master’s Degree in Science, Engineering, Quality or equivalent discipline is required
  • Train the Trainer Certification
  • Lean Methodologies training (Principles, PDCA, Lean Management, Building the FIT Organization and A3)
  • Project Management Certification
  • Black Belt is highly desired
  • Fluent (oral & written communication): English and either German, French or Spanish
