Job Description

The key responsibility will be to increase sales force effectiveness through RAISE selling and other skills training and direct field coaching. High collaboration will be required across the franchises and with Marketing Managers, local HR, Sales Managers and the Education Managers.  This person should show through their career a true passion for people development, together with outstanding results in (medical device) sales.  This person will be responsible for creating and implementing sales training curriculum for the Orthopedics and MedSurg in Latin America.  Through these initiatives, the Regional Sales Education Specialist will support Stryker’s mission.  Will perform all activity in accordance with Stryker compliance standards, Advamed Code, and all national and state regulations.  

Key responsibilities include:

  • Engage with stakeholders in the Franchises to understand the key strategies and long term organizational vision;
  • Design and deliver the 5-year sales training plan aligned to the franchise(s) strategy. This will include face to face training, field coaching and e-learning solutions (selling skills, negotiation, presentation, Train the Trainer);
  • Championing a culture of adult learning that can be tracked and reported
  • Maintain a strong understanding of local market forces and ensure that the training interventions keep pace;
  • Build a community of skills specialists (Academy Masters) within the locality that can contribute to course delivery;
  • Collaborate with transatlantic sales training colleagues to share best practice and develop common solutions;
  • Build comprehensive product training curriculum to develop clinical expertise, clinical selling skills, customer influence, and a regional strategy for new hires and experienced sales reps
  • Coordinate and execute all sales training phases: events, agendas, educational materials, videos & other resources.

Academic qualifications / degree & relevant prior experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a medical, scientific or technical career OR degree in sciences, economics or similar;
  • Fluency in Portuguese, Spanish and English;
  • 2-3 years of related work experience required;
  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills;
  • Excellent organizational skills.
