Job Description

The Job's Mission
Partner with salesforce to support, train and guide them in their efforts to increase sales and grow market share.
Support legacy portfolio and new product launches.
Formulate plans and facilitate the execution of high impact launches to the sales organization.
Co-ordinate activities in market to drive cohesiveness towards agreed goals and strategies.

Key Activities & Accountabilities
  • Study local orthopaedics market (size, trend, payment method and major stakeholder) and competitor environment
  • Create the local tactical Marketing plan aligned with the Divisional Strategies and expectations.
  • Communicate the product marketing plan to the sales leadership and salesforce regularly to ensure alignment to the agreed country objectives.
  • Customize marketing plan based on customer experience, Voice of Customer experience and changes to the economic environment.
  • Gather market intelligence through field visits with salesforce and customer visitations.
  • Liaise with operations team with regard to inventory build for product introductions, product deletion planning, monitor/change safety stock levels.
  • Attend monthly asset management meetings to discuss the above issues and execute actions from this meeting working with operations team and sales leadership.
  • Ensure all documentation submitted in a timely fashion for Stryker product training events and TPEC meetings to local compliance officer
  • Create and own the local instrument and implant forecast entered into the global IBP tool.
  • Liaise with loan kit team to ensure demand/need is being met with loan kit fleet.
  • Working with sales leadership, create an implant forecast by brand that aligns with the growth aspirations and portfolio strategy.
  • Work with Internal Education team to ensure sales force is competent to sell product and can cover surgical cases.
  • Lead portfolio pricing, ASP and profitability analysis for new products and legacy products in the local market.
  • Partner with sales leadership to identify surgeon targets for customer conversion, assist with execution of plan and track sales process by month – advise correction where necessary.
  • Partner with Compliance and Event team to ensure all Stryker events are compliant
  • Become Stryker product advocate and build a strong partnership with sales force.
  • Develop strong KOL relationships locally and regionally.
  • Target KOL competitors with sales leadership and build relationships.
  • Ensure Internal Education / sales training provides strong message on current and new products to engage internally and externally
  • Organize and lead Marketing events locally and regionally where required.
  • Network throughout Recon and Global divisions within Stryker
  • Create an ongoing culture of knowledge related to all features and surgical philosophies / procedures associated with Stryker product portfolio.
  • Partner closely with sales force through customer visitations
  • Align Marketing activities and discretionary budget spend to achieve local business goals and objectives.
  • Partner with salesforce and Finance department to set annual target and investment budgets.
  • Monitor Sales performance and partner with sales leadership to create sales initiatives / incentives to deliver growth.
  • Identify potential new projects and present business case to implement them.
  • Allocate resource efficiently in local market to deliver agreed objectives.

Job Requirements

  • BSc Life sciences, pharmaceutical or business degree
  • Fluency in English essential
  • At least 2 year sales/marketing experience with a major medical or pharmaceutical manufacturer/provider.
  • Product knowledge and selling/marketing experience with Orthopaedics products will be a strong plus
