Job Description
The Job’s Mission
As a Stryker Product Manager, you will work in alignment with global strategic team, sets annual and long-range South African brand strategy to achieve required growth, profit and market share targets. Creates/distributes assets, tools, marketing campaigns and best practices which can be localized for maximum Impact. Support the current sales team in achieving sales targets. Identifies education, brand experience and customer engagement opportunities for both internal and external audiences to increase brand perception and value. Collaborate with local SA, regional EEMEA, and Global specific Joint Replacement product managers.
Key Activities & Accountabilities
- Development of trust and strong relationships with local marketers, sales professionals, internal stakeholders, and key customers (KOL)
- Development of trust and strong relationships with global, regional and local supply chain and asset management teams.
- Develop a detailed understand of the competitor environment and relative positioning of existing and emerging joint replacement technologies.
- Study target South African markets in detail: (size, trend, reimbursement systems, payment methods and major stakeholders).
- Develop detailed understanding of the needs and motivations of all customer stakeholders contributing to the decision to invest in Joint Replacement and to create materials, sales training and events based upon these.
- Develop a detailed working knowledge of the existing clinical and economic evidence, for core brands.
- In collaboration with the Divisional/Portfolio Marketing/Local Marketing teams Creation of Annual Marketing Plan and portfolio road-map over 3-5 year horizon
- Provide analysis of business performance, brand perception, and other drivers of future brand performance. Define mitigating actions to deliver on strategy
- In partnership with Education Manager, identify internal training needs and create relevant content and training programs.
- Create South African, customer engagement events such as facility tours/events/congresses, hands-on opportunities, and medical education programs
- Manage branding, messaging, positioning, and pricing of assigned brands based on market, customer, and competitive insights
- Take the lead in developing KOL’s for the Joint Replacement brands
- Coordinate the HCP academy plans & execute in line with the power brand strategy
- Act as Mentor and deliver training as and when necessary to more junior Brand Managers within the team
- Act as a role model for global organizational, social and moral values
Education
- Degree in Life Sciences or another relevant subject
