Position summary:

The Process Excellence Intern will work closely with internal customers cross-functionally to ensure accuracy and communication of improvement analyses.  The role will prepare forecasts and project trends using financial, economic, and other data to provide accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisions. The intern will conduct and document projects, valuations, and identify continuous improvement opportunities. The intern will be required to have knowledge and skills to interpret revenues to analyze data and provide recommendations to management.

Essential duties & responsibilities:

  • Member of the Process Excellence team to design and deliver business analysis and process optimization over the SSC information, optimizing and enabling people, process, and systems.
  • Collaborate with to help resolve differences and improve processes.
  • Maintains documentation.
  • Comply with all internal control procedures to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Performs other related work as assigned by management
  • Prepares spreadsheets with data interpretation
  • Performs related duties in support of project efforts (e.g. design, monitoring, data extraction, research and reporting) in areas of performance monitoring, outcomes and compliance with policies and rules;
  • Provide support with project meetings (schedule project meetings, assist with project documentation, document meeting minutes, and project action/task items)
  • Create/analyze process workflows to increase efficiency with cross-functional divisions and/ departments; analyzing data trends, creating reports
  • Creates and maintains files; drafts internal correspondence
  • Performs general and/or clerical duties as assigned. etc.

Education & special trainings:

  • Associates Degree (2-year degree) in industrial engineer, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Physics, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel,) required.
  • Fluent spoken and written English.
  • Oracle and SAP systems knowledge are a big plus.

Qualifications & experience:

  • 1-2 years of relevant working experience in an engineer function in matrixed international company (preferably American or Multinational company) with complex reporting practices and with exposure to various reporting systems is a plus.

Physical & mental requirements:

  • Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and multi-task.
  • Good communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and ability to communicate complicated issues effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform consistently under varying business pressure as well as ability to adapt to a quickly changing environment.
  • Computer or technical knowledge.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
