Job Description

  • Develop and implement strategies, processes, and policies to ensure compliance with privacy regulations
  • Support the continued deployment of Stryker’s global privacy strategy, with a focus on accelerating business growth, enabling business opportunities, and mitigating risk
  • Provide timely advice to the business on various privacy requirements. Assist with the negotiation of complex Business Associate Agreements and other privacy related agreements
  • Provide support to Legal and Compliance, IS, and other partners in evaluating and responding to internal/external audits and internal security incidents, breach investigations
  • Develop and implement strategies to aid the business in the acquisition and use of data for commercial purposes
  • Advise on relevant privacy issues associated with M&A, including due diligence and integration activities
  • Regularly engage with healthcare regulators in the US (e.g. HHS, OCR, FTC, State AGs)
  • Represent Stryker’s interests in relevant industry groups (e.g. AdvaMed, privacy working groups)
  • Maintain awareness and understanding of current and emerging laws and regulations; provide training and updates to Stryker policies as necessary
  • Assist on other privacy related matters as needed
