Stryker is seeking to hire a Principal Engineer, Advanced Operations to be responsible for the transfer of new products from research & design into manufacturing in Davie, FL at Stryker’s Robotics Innovation Center.

We are seeking a Principal Engineer, Advanced Operations with experience in electromechanical assemblies, printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) and monitors experience. We are seeking candidates who have expertise in the area of electromechanical assemblies, supplier management, commodities, machining, injection molding & cables/harnesses

As the Principal Engineer, Advanced Operations you will be a part of the development and introduction of new products and work extensively with Product Development, Quality and Manufacturing Operations to take a product from design concept through production ramp up.

As the Principal Engineer, Advanced Operations you will be responsible for accelerating the pace and effectiveness of New Product Introduction by developing a culture of innovation within the engineering team while leveraging our Global Quality & Operations and divisional partnerships.  


  • Review designs for components and assemblies.
  • Develop manufacturing process and test strategies.
  • Select and develop suppliers that will understand and comply with our requirements.
  • Utilize design transfer tools such as Process Flow chart, Process Failure Mode Effective Analysis, Control Plan, Measurement System Analysis and Process Validations.


  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering required (Electrical Engineering Highly Preferred).
  • 10 years related work experience required.
  • Broad based business experience in high performance multi-national enterprise, at least 3 years of which has been spent in operations and/or technical leadership level in Medical Device or other highly regulated industries.
  • Must be familiar with process development for electromechanical assemblies.
  • Must be familiar with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
  • Green or Black Belt 6 Sigma qualifications preferred.
  • Detailed understanding of the validation and verification process and its application relating to new products.
  • Must be able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and have a detailed understanding of geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Demonstrated project management and engineering expertise associated with new product introduction (NPI) in a regulated environment highly preferred.
