Job Description

The Portfolio Specialist, CMF Marketing will be a key member of Stryker's Craniomaxillofacial (CMF) team based in Kalamazoo, MI. This professional will work on the planning and implementation of projects that support the marketing function, and will interact directly with product managers to identify new marketing opportunities, prepares regular marketing activity reports and respond to questions from the sales organization. Will work individually or with a team in recommending action, scheduling and planning projects, estimating cost and managing projects to completion. This professional may further identify, evaluate and recommend marketing opportunities consistent with product line objectives. This professional will also:

  • Manage new pipeline development by collaborating with Business Development and Research & Development teams and key surgeon consultants
  • Lead product development projects within respective portfolio segment
  • Initiate and establish Focus Groups for product VoC, feedback and innovation
  • Identify and investigate new business opportunities and partners for portfolio expansion
  • Initiate and develop product development strategies within the organization that fill budget gaps or expansion opportunities in the portfolio
  • Collaborate with Brand Marketing to evaluate trends in current/adjacent markets to determine portfolio penetration opportunities and pipeline strategies
  • Work with Clinical Research and Brand Marketing to develop strategies for research
  • Participate in Idea Management, WEB Program, Technical Committees, Strategy meetings and Surgeon Panels
  • Participate in Due Diligence process
  • Positively contribute to the culture within the organization
  • Manage personal travel budget
  • Adhere, without exception, to Corporate compliance and ethics policies

Education/special trainings:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent: Technical or Business with an emphasis in marketing or related discipline
  • Must possess excellent working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of Marketing, R&D, Business Development and/or Sales experience
  • Background in healthcare products or medical devices highly preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership talents and experience
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a cross-functional and team oriented environment
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to deliver results with multiple and complex projects
  • Strong oral and written skills

Travel Percentage: Up to 50%
