Job Description


Provide cost management support to Supply Chain Operations team, including variance analysis, budget planning & forecasting and financial analysis. Partner with Supply Chain team to provide general business support. Perform accounting, reporting and analytics for freight costs, GRIR and inventory. Participate in day-to-day cost accounting and month-end close process, as well as ad-hoc requests and business decision support.

  1. Supply Chain, Sourcing and Logistics support (Variable and Fixed Operations)
    • Contribute to the global plan & quarterly forecast updates
    • Produce monthly reporting package and analysis of issues/trends for management
    • Analyze monthly purchase price variance drivers
    • Create ad hoc forecasts and scenarios as required
  2. Support cost accounting functions
    • Analyze, accrue and forecast inbound freight & expensed materials
    • Monitor freight bills from consolidator and coordinate invoice processing
    • Analyze and forecast manufacturing overhead rates
    • Analyze GRIR discrepancies and facilitate resolution
  3. Perform US inventory accounting and reporting
    • Account for prepaid inventory and monitor scrap/inventory adjustment activity
    • Perform managerial reporting & analysis
    • Partner with Operations personnel to achieve inventory reduction objectives
    • Produce inventory adjustments analysis.
  4. Support Operations organization
    • Work with managers to establish annual budgets and quarterly/monthly spending forecasts
    • Analyze spending and month-end variances
    • Provide performance reporting and analysis including recovery plans
  5. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities
    • Ensure GAAP principles are adhered to
    • Prepare journal entries with auditable support
    • Reconcile balance sheet accounts
    • Analyze variances and provide explanations to management
    • Support Sarbanes-Oxley processes and testing
  6. Related duties as required

Job Requirements

  • BA or BS in Business, preferably Finance, Accounting or related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in financial analyst or related role
  • Cost accounting and financial analysis experience in a Manufacturing environment
  • Comfortable extracting and manipulating large amounts of data with MS Access or similar tool
  • Proven Microsoft Excel skills and experience in modeling/data analytics
  • High integrity and self-confidence
  • Detailed knowledge of ERP system transactional flow and resulting financial entries
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated strength in building strong business partnering relationships
  • Familiarity with QAD, Hyperion, Host Analytics or similar tools
  • Experience in a high technology or medical device manufacturing environment
  • Normal office environment
  • Minimal (<5%) travel
