Job Overview
The Team Lead, Outbound must be a team-oriented individual capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.  Position responsibilities include daily direction of the Outbound Distribution Associates and achieving daily productivity goals. Actively involved in supporting daily tasks such as receiving, restocking, picking, packaging and auditing of products, as well as housekeeping duties associated with maintaining an organized, clean and safe work environment.  This individual must serve as a contributing member of the Distribution team while championing Stryker’s Mission and Values.

Leadership/People Development:

• Coach, develop and lead Outbound Distribution Associates by providing developmental and growth opportunities
• Build and maintain exceptional employee engagement throughout the department
• Oversee individualized training and development plans for team members
• Assist with annual performance reviews and interim performance reviews in consultation with the Supervisor, Distribution
• Assist Supervisor, Distribution with annual employee engagement sessions, and creating and executing action plans based on these sessions
• Responsible for departmental compliance with company policies and corrective actions
• Proactively collaborates with internal teams/departments to promote a culture of inclusiveness and cooperation
• Responsible for living and driving Stryker’s values: Integrity, Accountability, Performance and People

Functional Responsibilities:

• Perform root cause analysis, corrective action, and troubleshooting duties
• Provide leadership and expertise to Outbound Distribution daily activities through organizing resources, providing priority management, actively supporting daily tasks and ensuring task completion.
• Facilitate the efficient operation for Outbound activities by ensuring that all processes maintain a high standard of housekeeping and cleanliness throughout the work and storage areas.
• Ensure all team members act in compliance with Stryker safety and quality standards.
• Participate in the development, coordination and delivery of training sessions for all Outbound team members including new employee orientation and temporary staff.

• Work with the Team Lead, Inbound to create a schedule for adequate coverage daily and for scheduled vacations, lunch hours and absences.
• Participate in the development and administration of continuous improvement and 6S program pertaining to Outbound picking and shipping.
• Work with the Supervisor, Distribution to collect data and prepare KPI’s for the department’s daily, weekly, and monthly activity.
• Assist the Distribution Inventory Specialist to develop the annual count plan and execution of all required counts.
• Establish and maintain consistent flow of outbound processing.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager

• Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, professional image at all times
• Proactive mindset and collaborative approach to problem solving
• Strong Analytical skills and experience with Oracle an asset
• Accuracy is essential for data entry skills
• Knowledge of proper lifting/body mechanic techniques and adherence to health and safety regulations
• Superior time management skills, ability to manage multiple functions and adhere to daily deadlines
• Ability to work in a fast paced and active environment
• Ability to lead a workforce

Education & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree required (Distribution, Supply Chain, or Logistics Program Preferred)
• Internal applicants with an equivalent combination of education, experience and performance over time at Stryker will be considered
