GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Utilizes a wide array of knowledge, technical skills and critical-thinking abilities to facilitate Stryker’s Services business. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Ensure effective surgical care to patients as related to Stryker Endoscopy equipment. • Provides clinical surgical support by operating all Stryker equipment. • Interacts with surgeons, patients, OR personnel, Central Processing, Sales Reps, O.R. Managements, and Hospital Administration, as well as Stryker employees and partners. • Anticipates related device needs of the OR staff and surgeon during Endoscopic procedures. • Is responsible for trouble-shooting and maintaining Stryker Endoscopy equipment. • Works with surgeons, OR personnel, central processing, biomedical, patients and all other related personnel. • Assists OR staff with Decontamination / Sterilization of Stryker MIS equipment. • Maintains knowledge base of equipment and disposable products. • Continuing education for new specialists and team members. • Training of newly hired specialists not assigned to account. • Brings focus and awareness to overall service efforts. • Assists the sales representative in providing physicians and OR personnel with information on new products. • Assists assistant regional manager / regional manager on specialist’s reviews, corrective actions. • Maintains call schedule and rotation for Endoscopic Specialists. • Reports account occurrences to assistant regional manager / regional manager on hospital incident reports concerning Technical Services or Stryker related products. • Assists assistant regional manager / regional manager on account renewal contract. • Maintains knowledge base of equipment and disposable products through Stryker education training programs. • Provide physicians and OR personnel with information on new and current products. • Must be able to accurately and honestly record and report data metrics related to all specific job functions on a regular basis. • Accurately records and reports surgical procedure information for billing and invoice purposes. • Adheres to hospital policies, standards and procedures. • The ability to provide on-call services, as required, by the medical facility. • Employee has the necessary authority to execute above mentioned job responsibilities, and will have authority to carry out specific responsibilities defined by quality system documents. Employee has authority to recommend and initiate preventative and corrective action with regard to product non-conformances and quality system activities.,QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS: • Operating Room experience and demonstrated knowledge of anatomy, surgical procedures and techniques. • Applicable for Specialist Team Leads working in Sterile Processing Department: IAHCSMM CRCST Certification within 6 months of start date and on time yearly renewal • 1 year experience in services related field or with Stryker Technical Services. • High school Graduate. • Team matrix consisting of three or more specialists. • Medium work: Exerting up to 60 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. • Must be able to review printed materials. • Must be able to communicate with large groups of people. • Must be able to communicate telephonically. • Must be able to use common office equipment (e.g. calculator, PC, fax machine, etc.). • Must be able to use computer programs (e.g. Word, Excel.) • Must be able to generate and explain detailed forecasts, guidelines and procedures. • Must be able to analyze and resolve non-routine product issues using independent judgment. • Must be able to observe and correct minute inconsistencies (e.g. in the printed word, product appearance, etc.). • Excellent analytical skills. • Excellent professional interpersonal skills. • Excellent equipment problem-solving skills. • Excellent organizational skills. • Has professional work ethic and attitude. • Respects patient confidentiality. • Demonstrated effective managerial skills with quick decision-making ability. • Excellent organizational skills. • Excellent problem solving ability. • Near visual acuity, (corrected) color vision, corrected (if necessary) audio logical problems, mobility, bending, standing, stooping, and finger dexterity. • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential. • Excellent time management skills with ability to use independent judgment and critical thinking effectively. • Must be able to explain and generate detailed guidelines and procedures. • Maintain professional appearance, work ethic, and attitude required by Stryker and the medical facility. • Adhere to (HIPAA) and other related patient confidentiality policies and procedures. • Must have near visual acuity (corrected) color vision, mobility, bending, standing, stooping, and finger dexterity. • Must be able to observe and correct minute inconsistencies (e.g. in the printed word, product appearance, etc.). • Excellent analytical skills. • Excellent interpersonal skills. • Excellent equipment problem-solving skills.
