Job Description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Provides office support for the local site, including callers and visitors, organization of company events and administration of office duties.  

Essential Functions:

May include, but not limited to:

Meet and greet all visitors, vendors  and SML guests Expeditiously respond to and accurately manage incoming call volume on a multi-line phone system.  Manage incoming and outgoing mail and courier packages Manage the phone system to support changes in users, messaging or routings as needed. Act as the SML contact for third party office systems support (printers, telephone, IT systems and janitorial services). Manage and administer the procurement and disbursement of office supplies and employee uniforms. Book meeting rooms in Outlook and coordinate catered events. Arrange hotel reservations and taxi bookings for guests Oversees guest sign in book in case of an emergency evacuation Ensures office kitchen is maintained and stocked with basic requirements Participates in relevant SLMS training and periodic updates as required Participates in the creation and continuous improvement of standardized work. Identifies and records all productivity issues or concerns and help root cause problems.  Participates in the development and implementation of corrective actions.  Responsible for build sheets and reports in Navision Accountable for all record-keeping, filing and document control as appropriate and in accordance with Stryker specifications. Assists finance area with functions such as filing, matching packing slips-invoices and cheques, Navision reports Assists quality area with audits as required, including scribing of meeting minutes Supports the Stryker Quality policy. Supports the Stryker Environment, Health and Safety policy. All other duties as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Computer skills, PC literate.  Interpersonal skills, organization and time management skills, effective verbal/written communication, problem solving skills required.
    • Verbal and written fluency in English.
    • Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent is required.
    • Must possess excellent presentation and communication skills
    • Minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience in office administration required.

PHYSICAL/SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Office setting – most activities consist of walking or sitting.
  • Requires use of prescribed Personal Protective Equipment in designated areas.
  • May be exposed to loud noises in plant environment.
