What you will do-

  • Lead the development and implementation of strategies and goals for assigned commodities in support of overall divisional business objectives
  • Formulate and implement processes to build a best in class strategic sourcing organization
  • Develop and lead cross functional teams and lead the process to create strategic commodity plans, consolidation strategy, and spend/supply assessments taking into account total product life cycle needs
  • Lead sourcing analysis and selection process and performs cost analyses and make versus buy analyses as required
  • Lead development of contract strategy
  • Negotiate, establish, monitor and enforce supplier contracts and agreements 
  • Develop strong partnership relationships with key suppliers as well as other disciplines within the businesses
  • Identify supply base risk and develop/implement mitigation plans including market assessments, supplier's financial assessments, social responsibility, environment, ethics etc.
  • Obtain and communicate market condition information and technology trends related to commodities and suppliers
  • Utilize market trends to identify and implement appropriate cost controls and business strategy changes
  • Perform cost analyses and make versus buy analyses as required
  • Assure cost standards are established for annual operating budgets
  • Collaborate across functions, divisions, and campuses to develop scorecards and business reviews for key suppliers
  • Create and implement enterprise wide metrics, tools and processes to optimize sourcing and supplier activities
  • Communicate key supplier management updates and decisions to multiple levels in the organization including Executive Leadership
  • Develops and benchmarks best practices among the Divisions and shared suppliers
  • Manage and develop continuous improvement programs, addressing quality, delivery, service as well as cost

What you need-

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering or related field required
  • 8+ years of relevant experience required; supply management with focus on strategic sourcing and supplier development experience, highly preferred
  • Engineering/technical background, highly preferred
  • Knowledge and application of supplier contract strategy, negotiations, contractual terms, and contract administration -preferred
  • Knowledge of supplier processes and supply chain risk factors including experience in assessing and mitigating risk in the supply base -preferred
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement and cost reduction methodologies -preferred
  • Strong skills in leadership, negotiations, influencing, communication & presentation, project management, troubleshooting & problem solving, analysis, strategic thinking, and collaborative team building -preferred

Work From Home: Regularly scheduled days

Travel Percentage: 30%
