Education/Special Training Required

4 years of university/technical study in administration/sales/paramedical or equivalent. Master Degree is preferred.

Qualifications/Work Experience Required

10 years sales experience with a minimum of 5+ years of sales management, preferably in medical devices industry or equivalent combination of education/experience required to perform at this level.

  • Strong leadership and Team Leader, ability to adapt to changing working environments
  • Extensive experience in sales and negotiations with customers and distributors and Integradores working to private and Public Hospital business.
  • Proven experience of over achieving sales plan in fast paced environment and complex organizations.
  • Exceeding financial targets in sales and OPEX
  • Training and development of staff
  • Strong focus in delivering high level of customer satisfaction.
  • High level of integrity and policy compliance

Job Summary

  • The core objective of this role is to drive and lead Neurovascular sales strategy in achieving the goals and objectives of the Division in the assigned country. 
  • Creates, directs and executes strategies to achieve divisional objectives and meet customer needs.
  • Has principal leadership accountability for developing sales team and resulting P&L.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Industry Knowledge

  • Responsible for providing continuous support and education to group members to ensure up to date industry and product knowledge.
  • Collaborates with marketing department: report Market data and industry trends to measure their impact on sales activities
  • Maintains the skills and knowledge to sell the entire product line to all applicable buying influences and can differentiates each product line against the competitor’s products in front of the customer.

Business / Sales Management

  • Develops and executes sales strategies and tactics to increase Stryker NV market penetration
  • Creates a compete “bundle” of product and value-add services.
  • Monitors country sales performance on an ongoing basis, initiating corrective actions, preparing reports, summaries, analysis and documentation on all aspects of country management, including sales forecast.
  • Identifies sales forecast gaps, submits corrective strategies and tactics
  • Plans and controls expenses to ensure sales objectives are met within budget
  • Assists sales support/marketing staff members in activities such as sales promotion, training or market research in planning and executing special projects
  • Conducts regular business reviews with team and manager, adjusts strategies in accordance with Country requirements.
  • Partner with Human Resources to achieve human capital objectives including employee engagement, performance management, talent acquisition, planning and ensuring consistent application of practices and procedures.

Building and Maintaining Relationships

  • Maintain professional relationship with Key Physicians, buyers and major accounts.
  • Attend and participate in customer, company and industry  sponsored forums and courses
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key Stryker NV functional areas
  • Spends maximum time in the field with each sales representative to support their professional development needs and to maintain and develop strong relationships and understanding of the customer.

  • As interface to Clients and Customer Service has direct responsibility to facilitate, share documents and process to identify, notify and ensure any complaint or problem are addressed, thereby demonstrating high commitment to Quality in all interactions and behaviors.
  • Participates in driving quality awareness in every employee, while guiding the local organization towards improved performance and customer oriented initiatives.
