Job Description

Establish expectations and goals as it relates to mixing operations.

Foster a healthy atmosphere of teamwork and strong communication that ensures a seamless transition across all shifts.

Proactively communicate critical information regarding quality, cleanliness, production, safety, training, personnel issues, continuous improvement ideas, production metrics, etc.

Foster a positive work environment by maintaining high expectations, encouraging open and candid communication and promoting initiative, teamwork, cohesion and cooperation on second and third shift.

Drive the production schedule to completion.

Manage time effectively to drive down batch length while allowing for no compromise to procedures and product quality. 

Refuse to live with problems; proactively address and own problems that arise in mixing.

Hold self and others accountable to established standards for cleanliness, quality, production and personal conduct.

Coordinate with operators to provide coverage for overtime when necessary.

Deconflict production schedule with mix system and water system maintenance; ensure effective communication between mixing and water rooms.

Carry out all functions of a mixing operator when needed.

Must be available to respond to calls during the off shifts.
