Job Description

Strengthen the Stryker brand by working with the Meetings Team to deliver best in class meetings and events based on the identified needs of our internal customers. Work with the Meetings team to execute on assigned meeting and event tasks.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Sourcing of hotels, restaurants, activities and vendors.
  • Expense reconciliation, tracking budgeting and reporting (for the Meetings team as well as the Sales Recruiting and Talent Management Teams).
  • Coordinating pre-event materials such as agendas, nametags, supplies, and shipping.
  • Manage team calendar and event schedule.
  • Support the execution of employee engagement events including pre-event needs, set-up and onsite support.
  • Establish relationships with immediate team and internal customers to provide a team approach to the successful planning and implementation of all meetings.
  • Act in the best interest of Stryker, reflecting the values of teamwork, collaboration, and mutual respect.

Qualifications/Work Experience Preferred:

  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communication skills, including ability to tailor communication style to audience.
  • Excellent grammar, proofreading and editing skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to process information quickly and ask clarifying questions
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines
  • 1-3 years communications, event planning or marketing experience is beneficial
  • Strong typing and formatting skills
  • Excellent computer skills, with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and function.

Education:

  • Bachelors in business, communication or marketing or related curriculum/certification preferred
