What You Will Do

You will support the Emergency Care business.  We make life saving devices for life saving customers.  Our systems are some of the more complex systems in the medical device industry

As a systems Engineer, you will provide critical product and project leadership.  You will play a role in all aspects of the product lifecycle from Concept through Market Release and Sustaining.  During the Concept Phase, you will work to understand stakeholder needs and clinical use and then translate those needs into system and product architecture.  During Development, you will be responsible for ensuring the design meets the user needs through requirements identification and requirements decomposition.  You will achieve results using a variety of system engineering techniques such as:  traceability, architecture, modeling, trade studies, simulation, and budgeting. 

You will be joining a high-performance team that uses advanced systems engineering techniques.  This team is about to embark on a significant expansion in our Model-based Systems Engineering Capability.  We will need you to be excited to try new things, share ideas, and push the limits.

  • You will create plans and lead execution for a variety of analytical studies, including trade studies, sensitivity studies, optimization studies, performance assessment, design assessments
  • You will contribute throughout the full development lifecycle from concept to product release
  • You will provide impact assessment for design changes

What you need:

  • Engineering Degree (ideally, biomedical, software, electrical, or mechanical) or related field
  • Software experience highly preferred
  • 7+ years of overall experience
  • Experience within a regulated industry is required / Medical device experience is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with one of the following is preferred DOORS, Jama, JIRA, MS Office, SysML Modeling Tools
