Responsible for developing strategic messaging and copy for a range of communication channels & mediums.  Talented in wordsmithing, and a strategic thinker who can transform technical medical and product information into engaging stories that connect with healthcare audiences. 


Responsibilities:

  • Develops message strategy in alignment with business strategies & objectives, and marketing plans. 
  • Leads brainstorming and creative concept development.
  • Writes engaging, creative and technical copy for a variety of target audiences in multiple forms of media (primarily print, digital ads, tradeshows & signage, websites, video, and general communications)
  • Presents ideas clearly, concisely, and effectively verbalizing thinking and relating them back to the communications objective & strategies
  • Develops video copy concepts, writes scripts and works collaboratively to create and execute video communications, including product in-service videos.
  • Works closely with internal stakeholders: Brand Marketing, Portfolio Marketing, Marketing Leadership, & Executive Leadership. 
  • Collaborates with Regulatory Affairs and Legal departments to ensure adherence to FDA standards.  Demonstrates knowledge of medical industry, and regulatory & quality standards.
  • Adheres to review & approval processes as stated in corporate & divisional Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) & Work Instructions (WIs)
  • Follows verbal brand identity and voice.
  • Ensures brand and product value propositions are communicated strategically and on point.  Grows to become a product expert of all product categories and lines in pre-hospital and hospital segments.
  • Establishes and follows proofreading, file organization, and file naming procedures
  • Manages multiple projects on time, often under tight deliverable deadlines
  • Grows highly collaborative relationships, and is a proactive team player
  • Manages outsourced work with agency partners as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree Journalism, Communications, English or related field
  • 6+ years of professional copywriting and editing experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, and working knowledge of WordPress
  • Ability to work in teams and to develop strong working relationships with others
  • Demonstrated exceptional written and oral communications skills; work portfolio required
  • Strong organization, project management skills, with high attention to detail
  • Quality obsessed, proofing
  • Strong Organizational Project Management
