As a Marketing Associate you will support Product Management team in implementing growth plans for product lines at Stryker Spine. You will act independently to complete requested projects within a specified time frame, uses good judgment in sequencing work in order to complete more urgent projects as necessary and ensure the success of your products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participates in overall product strategy, research, and marketing coordination for new and emerging products.
  • Assists Product Manager with estimates of potential profits, and release to production specific to the family of spinal products and procedures.
  • Assists in the performance of market analysis, product strategy and research.
  • Conducts surgeon and sales rep product and procedure training.
  • Collaborates with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, engineering, marketing, manufacturing, and operations to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key spine / neuro surgeons.
  • Provides technical expertise and training to other departments in support of product.
  • Identifies market potential, establishes pricing and market strategies, estimates potential sales, introduces market, distribution/channel issues, and manages mature product through phase-out.
  • Defines promotional activities, publicizing the product through the press, sales force, and alternate distribution channels. Interact with graphic designers for development of collateral materials.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

  • BA in Marketing, Business or BA/BS in other area with strong aptitude and interest in marketing required.
  • 0-3 years in a marketing, sales or related position required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated effective organizational skills.
  • Must be able to communicate with large groups of people live and remotely.
  • Must be able to review printed materials.
  • Must be able to generate and explain detailed proposals, guidelines and procedures.
  • Must be able to analyze and resolve routine product issues using independent judgment.
  • Must be able to routinely make decisions that may affect immediate marketing operations.
  • Must be able to observe and correct minute inconsistencies (e.g. in the printed word, product appearance, etc.).
  • Fundamental computer skills (Microsoft Office)

Work From Home: Occasional

Travel Percentage: 30%
