The Marketing Associate interfaces with key leaders and the Sales Force for Stryker Sustainability Solutions. The position assists Marketing in creating and implementing sales strategies and promotions to grow the Sustainability portfolio. This position will also have the opportunity to visit key customer sites and participate in customer-facing activities, such as product evaluations and program implementations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide sales support by answering and/or resolving customer questions and /or issues on assigned products via telephone, e-mail and in-person.
  • Assist in developing marketing collateral (e.g. product brochures, Apps, videos, etc.).
  • Support the implementation and marketing of our products; mediums may include field visits, exhibits and trade shows.
  • Participate in providing marketing and/or sales training as requested.
  • Collect input in the new product development process and partner with the Marketing Services team to collect Voice of the Customer (VOC) feedback on new product concepts.
  • Work with the Sales Force, Marketing, Quality and R&D to identify and implement improvements to existing products.
  • Partner with Marketing Services to develop and execute strategies for communicating product-related updates to the Sales Force.
  • Support development of the Sustainability knowledge management system (The Vault) through creation of new sales support tools and refinement of existing tools.
  • Coordinate with the Distribution Team and Customer Care to effectively allocate products to customers.
  • Communicate complaint handling, quality, service and other business processes to the Sales Force.
  • Support product evaluations, presentations, or implementations as needed.
  • Facilitate field sales training with sales representatives as needed.
  • Assist Marketing Services team in market research reporting and analyses as requested.

Education, Experience & Qualifications:

  • BA in Marketing, Business or BA/BS in other area with strong aptitude and interest in marketing required.
  • 0-3 years in a marketing, sales or related position required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated effective organizational skills.
  • Must be able to communicate with large groups of people live and remotely.
  • Must be able to review printed materials.
  • Must be able to generate and explain detailed proposals, guidelines and procedures.
  • Must be able to analyze and resolve routine product issues using independent judgment.
  • Must be able to routinely make decisions that may affect immediate marketing operations.
  • Must be able to observe and correct minute inconsistencies (e.g. in the printed word, product appearance, etc.).
  • Fundamental computer skills (Microsoft Office).
