Job Description

  • Understand hourly attainment of responsible areas and execute to the requirements
  • Obtain and execute to the production schedule
  • Coordinates resources in area based on production schedule and standards, troubleshooting  schedule changes throughout shift
  • Understand and utilize root cause evaluation tools to resolve issues
  • Responsible for appropriate handling of scrap and calibration to align with business processes
  • Ensure team is using material replenishment systems properly and escalates through appropriate channels as needed
  • Able to diagnose and resolve issues independently.
  • Will be the first line of defense for troubleshooting including, but not limited to, equipment, quality and process issues, as well as, coach and teach others in troubleshooting techniques.
  • Cross trained on product builds and/or machines
  • Train in responsible area and ensure team members are properly trained/certified in all facets of their job to include but not limited to (6S, MDI, SLMS, Safety, Quality, Preventative maintenance)
  • Ability to build and/or operate in production to meet production pace requirements (up to 50% of time)
  • Understand and maintain and coach others on the MDI tier 1 boards and reporting
  • Ability to report out and project team metrics to senior leadership and exhibit a deep understanding of MDI through tier I and tier II
  • Responsible for shift hand off and communication with peers
  • Support onboarding of temporary employees and new hires
  • Work closely with the Production Team Leader to provide feedback on team members in responsible area
  • Provide Real time feedback to employees on business alignment and meeting objectives
  • Influence a culture of safety, positivity and collaboration within the team by providing them with objective/daily feedback
  • Identify and communicate potential resource needs for area.
  • Identifies and resolves human factors risks based on Stryker approved tools
  • Assist in the interview process of new employees and temporary hires.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects within area including safety, quality and productivity.
  • Execute LSW (Leader Standard Work) and audit requirements including, but not limited to, Quality and 6S
  • Able to conduct 6S and Safety Audits and hand out hand out action items at the tier I level
  • Identifies and resolves human factors risks based on Stryker approved tools
