Job Description

In this role, you will

  • Perform equipment validation and re-validation.
  • Employ Lean Lighthouse and 6S techniques.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and help solve root cause solutions.
  • Conduct investigations.
  • Directly train or participate in the training of technical personnel.
  • Cooperatively work with other department representatives, lead persons, engineers, and any others to improve shift effectiveness, increase productivity, reduce costs and maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain company policies, safety rules, and keeps work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Participate in pre-qualifications and factory acceptance tests of new equipment and machinery.
  • Participate in the evaluation of new departmental hires.
  • Coordinate the implementation of special projects.
  • Continuously advance skills with new training, technologies, and processes.
  • Identify, suggest, recommend to management, and implement modifications to increase productivity and lower costs.
  • Assist quality engineers with CAPA investigations.

What you need:


  • Bachelor’s Degree is required.  Preferably in an Engineering discipline such as Mechanical or Electrical (other disciplines will be considered based on relevant work experience and training).
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience with pharmaceutical and/or manufacturing equipment.

Along with these preferred attributes:

  • Knowledge of Pharmaceutical processes.
  • Experience working in a Regulated environment.
  • Working knowledge of validation processes.
  • Proficiency with computerized record keeping systems including: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Maintenance monitoring systems, Laboratory information systems, quality management systems, manufacturing execution systems.
  • Strong technical writing skills and experience.
  • Working knowledge of engineering drawings, electrical schematics, engineering flow diagrams, algebra, geometry, and statistics.
  • Proven experience making product quality decision.
