The Marketing Services Manager will serve as both the Brand ambassador and reinforcer for our division. We need you to lead the development of our powerful message of quality, savings and sustainability while also providing valuable insights through marketing analytics. You will be responsible for driving the development of our MarComm and IBP talent, including tracking performance metrics of your direct reports, support their ongoing development and work to build an engaged, passionate and highly productive team. You’ll partner with all functions of the business, oversee marketing inputs on integrated business planning, assist with product commercialization and develop the strategy to execute highly engaging sales and customer events.

What You Will Do

  • Manage shared services for marketing including Marketing Communications and Marketing Analytics
  • Partner with product management team to align brand communication strategies and plans with business and cross-divisional messages as necessary
  • Foster and maintain effective relationships with divisional leadership team to assure alignment with communication approach and tactics
  • Align with Corporate communication and brand standards to ensure consistent, look, feel and voice
  • Build national sales meeting strategy and plan, manage interactions with third-party partners, including production company
  • Lead trade show activities, sales meetings, incentive trips, customer engagement events, website, digital and social media
  • Proactively work with marketing, sales, GQO, PMO and finance on integrated business planning to develop and implement marketing strategies and tools that serve to enhance our business and the value of the customer relationship
  • Work with the Sales and Service teams to direct and support marketing activities and identify, prioritize, and execute on marketing opportunities
  • Lead third party public relations campaigns as well as promotional and collateral material for new product releases and existing product promotions  
  • Execute on strategy via objectives created from annual marketing plan which include segmenting customers, validating assumptions through data and VOC, and enabling the field by supporting it with a series of promotional tools
  • Partner with upstream marketing on brand audits and voice of customer (VOC)
  • Ensure a strong, coherent and comprehensive strategic direction for marketing communication and analytics
  • Manage the creative and outreach services from marketing
  • Mentor and lead your professional marketing team

What We Are Looking For

  • Undergraduate degree in marketing or other relevant business area
  • Minimum 2-3+ years management experience
  • Minimum 7-10+ years’ experience in Marketing, MarComm or relevant field
  • Consulting or medical sector experience a plus
  • Demonstrated strengths in strategic thinking, creative, branding and communications/public relations
  • Strong communication / presentation skills & customer service orientation
  • Must possess excellent working knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet and e-mail applications
  • Must have ability to effectively lead / manage a team
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with technical Stryker employees and vendors
  • Must be detail oriented and possess conceptual/creative thinking skills
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and establish (and re-establish) priorities for self and team
  • Willingness to do moderate travelling, as needed

Work From Home: Occasional

Travel Percentage: 40%
