Role details

This position is within the Mako Commercial Finance Team with a focus on Mako system and service sales and COGS as well as comprehensive business partnering and support within the Mako organization. Some of the key functions are listed below.

  • Lead, manage and develop a team of two financial professionals
  • Capital deal evaluation and oversight
  • Revenue recognition approvals
  • Capital sales forecasting & budgeting
  • Identification and implementation of value added analysis & process improvements
  • Triage of regular field issues and concerns
  • Policy oversight and implementation
  • Focus on scaling the organization through efficiency and automation
  • Responsible for financial reporting and creation of sales analytics and key performance metrics to drive accountability

  • Provide strategic business partnership to the Mako capital sales and service organization
  • P&L management, including sales, COGS, and expense management, budget and projection process for relevant business areas

What you need

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance related field, and/or Economics.  Prefer CPA, CFA and/or Master's Degree in Business Administration or Finance.  Also prefer experience in SAP with focus on data analytics, data mining, and dashboard construction
  • 8+ years demonstrated successful experience (in the medical device or relevant industry is an advantage but not a pre-requisite)
  • Demonstrated communication, customer service and analytical skills
  • Experience of working within a Sarbanes Oxley compliant organization
  • 2+ years people management experience preferred
  • Proficient technical application skills that enable use of multiple financial systems
  • Excellent organizational skills and knowledge in the use of current office technologies (MSOffice suite, PowerBI, databases, etc.)
