What You Will Do

  • You will direct and manage the workflow of a team of engineers within the scope of assigned projects; ensure understanding and application of best practices, industry trends and skill development.
  • You will manage the Design Controls (Patient Specific Solutions or New Product Development process) and oversee teams to ensure project plans adhere to timelines
  • You will partner with sales and marketing teams to execute on business strategies.
  • You will utilize aspects of the surgical procedure and relationships with clinical advisers to develop innovative solutions to solve problems and satisfy customer needs.
  • You will establish and maintain relationships with the key design consulting groups in order to recognize and anticipate industry trends and user needs.
  • You will set the overall group goals and priorities and evaluate the team's performance based on those goals.
  • You will coach the professional and personal development of employees by providing performance feedback, establishing clear requirements and building productive working relationships.

What you need

  • 2+ years of experience management experience
  • 5+ years of product design experience in the medical device industry (preferred) or within a regulated industry        
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead complex product development initiatives from concept through release.
  • Applied knowledge of a CAD design package; preferably PRO E
