Job Description

" Responsibilities include

  • In close collaboration with business leadership, identify and define improvement opportunities that support the business’ strategic objectives

    • Provide expertise and advice to business leaders to accomplish the desired outcomes

    • Provide an active coaching to executives and teams sponsoring initiatives to ensure consistency with the strategy and operational goals

  • Develop knowledge around business and functional domains (Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, HR, R&D and Quality); understand business and process related challenges to identify and execute improvement opportunities through a blend of process re-engineering, process simplification and process management

  • Build framework for business process assessment using relevant approaches i.e. Lean Six Sigma, Process Simulations and Industrial Engineering Techniques

  • Establish BPI as an “internal consultancy” for business process improvement and provide a value proposition differentiating the BPI team from external competition

    • Provide services to internal clients to create success stories and case studies, building trusted partnerships and clients as champions for change

    • Generate leads and build project pipeline (Business Development) by ensuring faster turnaround of improvement projects and establishing success stories in quick succession

    • Create and deploy effective BPI branding and communication strategy

  • Collaborate and build partnerships with cross-functional stakeholders across the geographies for effective and time bound execution of projects and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal customers

  • Establish & manage infrastructure for Lean Six Sigma Deployment across the vertical which include review mechanism, training and certification programs, MIS, Reward & Recognition and liaise with various external training agency

    • Build organizational capability improvement framework around innovative solutions, latest trends and methodologies and ensuring all staff are adequately trained on appropriate tools and techniques

  • Deliver the annual BPI strategic plan by executing and mentoring projects having wide business impact.

Essential Functions:

  • Demonstrate financial acumen by building sound business cases that are understood by team members and supported by sponsors and executive leadership

  • Lean/Six Sigma certification or equivalent experience with problem-solving methodologies; experience with both small and large scale business transformation, organizational transformation and process redesign

  • Strong leader who can work effectively with senior business executives and cross functional teams

  • Well-developed communication, collaboration and influencing skills, including ability to create stakeholder buy-in

  • Strong analytical mindset, able to turn data into information

  • Must be able to develop mathematical / analytical models for solving complex business problems

  • Must be able to create dashboards / applications using Power BI, Tableau, MS-Access and advanced excel

  • Must be able to develop customized dashboards, optimization models for inventory, procurement, logistics, forecasting, Sales & Operations and shop-floor scheduling planning processes


  • Excellent interpersonal communication, listening, influencing and management skills

  • Demonstrated leadership and experience in leading without authority

  • 10+ Years leading teams in managerial capacity

  • Master’s degree or equivalent
