Job Description

Are you experienced with M&A activity and want to be part of a company who is a "serial acquirer"? This role is a strategic partner to Divisional M&A (Business Development/BD) teams as well as Corporate M&A functional leaders such as Global Quality Operations, Global IS, HR, Tax, and Treasury. Position will provide guidance and validation to divisional teams with respect to financial modeling and accounting/finance policies.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provide communications and interact with executive leadership (Capital Committee and Group leaders) with respect to financial reviews of M&A activity: Deal analysis including comprehensive financial risk assessment.
  • Coordinate with Corporate Controllers group to develop and maintain M&A related accounting policies in efforts to support divisional compliance with accounting, finance and tax policies/guidance, as well as proper inclusion of integration and operating expense for IT, HR, manufacturing, regulatory and quality control, etc.
  • Drive the Corporate M&A due diligence process to ensure informed decision making: Collaborate with BD and divisional finance teams to ensure appropriate financial analysis, and proposed acquisition models are complete and accurate.
  • Champion and manage process enhancements within the BD community with respect to financial analysis: Ownership and maintenance of the M&A financial model template to ensure appropriate and accurate performance metrics as well as reflect most current accounting and finance policies.
  • Manage acquisition post close performance tracking and benchmark financial metrics for quarterly and annual executive leadership and BOD reporting.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business-related field is required. Master’s degree is preferred and/or CPA, CMA or CFA

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of finance and/or accounting experience with a minimum of 6 years of experience in a M&A function. Ideal candidate has recent experience working with multi-location or multi-national companies, and exposure to the finance aspect of M&A transactions, ideally through financial model construction or financial due diligence. Experience in the Medical Device industry is preferred, but not required.
